Hey guys! It's finally happening! We're actually getting a TRICK 'R TREAT 2!

Of all the Halloween movies that have been released; both good and bad, only one truly stands out to me as a favorite: Trick 'r Treat ! It's a cult classics for many reasons; mainly because so many people didn't know about it after being a straight to video film. This didn't stop it from becoming a classic almost immediately! However, that was 4 years ago; and fans were waiting to hear what's next for Sam. Well, it has been confirmed that we're finally getting a sequel to one of the best Halloween Anthologies out there! [writer's note: this is just a personal preference] Although this sequel is said to be in it's very early stages, Trick 'r Treat's writer/director Michael Dougherty announced it at his special fan screening this past Monday [in Hollywood's Egyptian Theater] that a sequel to his cult following Halloween anthology is on it's way! I find that this is super awesome because I feel that the original is so underrated. [I mean, it WAS a straight to DVD release..] When asked about making another Trick 'r Treat film, Dougherty had the following to say;

"It’s funny because when I first dreamt up the idea of making the first film, I thought, “How neat would it be if we made them a series? I’m a firm believer that October should be filled with Halloween movies, or horror movies."

Hopefully we get more information on this soon, cause according to Dougherty, there isn't even a script written yet [but if it's anything like the first film, I have my bets that it'll be great!] The original Trick 'r Treat, which came out in 2009, featured four [very cleverly] interwoven stories that occur on Halloween night. These stories include; an everyday high school principal who has a secret life as a serial killer; a college virgin might have just met the one special guy for her; a group of teenagers who pull a mean prank, which goes too far and a woman who loathes Halloween night has to contend with her holiday-obsessed husband.

  As I said, I think this is fantastic, because I [along with many fans] have been curious to know what could be done with Sam for future films, and now we get to find out! How do you feel about it? If you haven't seen it; I would most certainly recommend the film!
