Ever since Stephanie & I got a Netflix account [thanks to her brother and his wife!], I've been using it mainly as a way to catch up on horror films and shows I missed watching earlier on. [but that's the point of Netflix, isn't it?] As a result, I've seen a lot of films by far that I can't believe I haven't seen! That's where this post comes in, I've decided [if you couldn't already tell by the title] I'm going to list my top 05 favorite I've watched thus far. Obviously, as this is an opinion post, all the films I'm about to list are recommended. [y'know, if you like horror.] So, let's get down to it and list my top 05 horror films on Netflix that you should watch ASAP! [let's go ahead and begin this list! starting....now!]

"Tucker & Dale are on vacation at their dilapidated mountain cabin when they are attacked by a group of preppy college kids."
Tucker & Dale VS Evil is a fairly special film. It's a special blend of horror and comedy. Not to mention it revolves around two rednecks who just happen to live in the woods, trying to live their lives.. all the while a group of college students are continuously dying around them. talk about spoiling somebody's weekend!

"Oskar, an overlooked and bullied boy, finds love and revenge through Eli, a beautiful but peculiar girl."
Let The Right One In is easily one of my favorite vampire films ever. It's a Swedish film, so expect subtitles, but holy fuck is it good! The storyline is spellbinding, and it's casting is perfect. It's one of those films you have to watch more than once, just so you can catch everything that happens in this gem of a film.

"Five friends go for a break at a remote cabin in the woods, where they get more than they bargained for. Together, they must discover the truth behind the cabin in the woods."
Cabin In The Woods is a film I had to watch twice to fully appreciate. At first, I didn't really like it [I gave it a solid 'meh'], feeling like it was too much at once. However, after re-watching it, I actually went out and bought a copy of it, as it's one of my favorite of the horror genre from the last few years!

"The lone survivor of an onslaught of flesh-possessing spirits holds up in a cabin with a group of strangers while the demons continue their attack."
Evil Dead II: Dead By Dawn is an interesting film. It's titled as a sequel, but is [in one aspect] a reboot of the first, with a better budget/better story-line. Either way, it doesn't take itself too seriously as a horror film [fun fact: according to the commentary, a lot of the gags are taken from "The Three Stooges" !], and Bruce Campbell is as fantastic as ever. Can't wait to meet him at Comic-Con in May!

"When his pregnant fiancee becomes the latest victim of a serial killer, a secret agent blurs the line between good & evil in his pursuit of revenge."
I SAW THE DEVIL is a fucking heavy film, and by 'heavy' - I mean it's a lot to take in. Weighing in at almost two and half hours, it's a brutal take on a revenge story. Like Oldboy [and I'd assume many Korean revenge films], the torture aspect of I SAW THE DEVIL is extreme; and doesn't ever let up. [It took me 2 days to watch this film entirely.] If you're not good with violence/torture; I don't recommend this title. I mean, I enjoy revenge films, and even I felt a little uneasy! ..okay, at times- a lot uneasy; but that's besides the point!
